YAY! The order from Resinsoul arrived (about a week or so ago)!! I checked everything over and sent out the dolls to their respective new owners. Everything went smoothly and arrived safely. The order was as follows:
I haven't taken pictures of mine yet, but eventually I will. Maybe even give a little review on them. I loved Mi and the new body with the peanut joints. I wish Resinsoul would rework the joints on all the older bodies to peanut joints. I also wish Resinsoul would redo their website and list ALL the bodies they have in the bodies section. Maybe add a parts section too (for other parts such as joints, legs, etc). Anyway, here is the body opening video. This video is mostly just checking the order.

My doll shipment came in today! There was quite a bit to open, so I split the video into two parts. I have big plans for Co and Cho, but I am having trouble finding a suitable body for Co. I am thinking of getting a Spiritdoll smart boy body for him, but am a little worried that he will have a huge bobble head. Even Cho on the A-type body is a little bobble-y. Pictures to come. Here are the box opening videos! So I saw that there is going to be a Soom free choice event! Amber is included in the list! Thus, I decided to purchase some Coquina parts from the Den of Angels marketplace to use. Yes! I finally got my hands on this limited edition head! Here are the details: Company: Soom; The Gem Sculpt: Black Fog Elves - Turb/Roxen Resin Color: Grey I am not a fan of Soom's MSD bodies, so I only wanted the head. I will be purchasing a body at a later date and will most likely be a Resinsoul male body. I have many floating heads now that need bodies! I was looking for a sculpt that was close to my Final Fantasy 14 character and stumbled on this sculpt on another blog somewhere. Not only that, but I found it on the Den of Angels marketplace for a bargain! The head isn't the right color, but I plan on airbrushing it dark gray to match the Resinsoul body I will be getting. Anyway, here is the box opening video! Wow, so it has been quite a while since I have posted. I have been on doll-hiatus because I have been paying off my student loans. Now that I finally have them paid off, I can rejuvenate my expensive doll fetish again! I rejoice, but my wallet is crying.
So I procrastinated with uploading this video and consequently lost it for a few years. However I found it again. The video was horribly noisy because of my computer fan, so I gave it a voice over following what I actually said as closely as I could. I say that she came in October, but the creation date of the raw video file was November 05, 2014? I dunno. It is possible that I received her late October and never got a chance to open her until November. That happens often, because I always want to make sure I record the box opening and I may not always have time to do so. In any case, here is the video!
My dolls actually arrived a few days ago, but the post office has been closed. I finally picked them up and opened them and posted up a video on YouTube. I don't have any pictures of the Tan Vela yet. I hope to get those up soon. I didn't want any of the Free Choice Option parts, so I did a GO for those who did want them. Someone got a pair of steampunk wings, another person got an extra set of hands, and I also sold the Vela head in the natural skin tone that is pictured. I decided to use a different head on her. I put the Elf Rena head on her from DikaDoll. The head is unfortunately kinda too large, but it is workable. I wish I just kept the Vela head and modded the ears, but oh well. Anyway, here is the box opening video! My DollShe doll arrived today! Needless to say I was super excited. However, when I saw the box my heart sank a bit. It was squashed and had a HOLE in it! I opened it and was disappointed to see the doll box inside had been squashed as well, and the matte coating on the box was peeling off. :( Once opened I was even more disappointed to see that attempted sanding in a few areas discolored the doll. I have read that sanding a tan doll can do this, which is a reason why I didn't order the seams removed (not to mention it was expensive). I suppose I will have to try to match the resin during body blushing to try and fix it. |
